A good & well-equipped Library & Information center is an essential entity of any organization. The SJBIT Library & Information Centre started in 2001 with an initial collection of 2500 Volumes is housed in the ground floor right wing ofCSE & ISE Block in an 'U' shaped manner with a Total floor area of 640 Sqm., with good natural lighting & ventilation. The L I C caters to theinformation needs of 4 Undergraduate Courses 2 Postgraduate courses, MBA & 3 Research Centres. The future plans includes A Separate Block with a Floor area of 2500 Sqm. including Audio Visual rooms, Digital Library section, Periodical Section & Reading rooms. |

The following sections are housed in the existing area : |

- Stack section where the books for circulation are stacked in a classified order with open access. |
|
| |
|
- Reference area for a capacity of 120 students is well stocked with good number of Reference books, Conference Proceedings, Hand books, Encyclopedia, Dictionaries etc. |

- The Librarian's chamber. |

- Circulation counter. |

Library is kept open on all working days except sundays and general holidays. Working hours are as given bellow. |

- Monday-Friday : 8.30 AM to 5.00 PM |
|

- Saturday : 8.30 AM to 1.00 PM |
|
| |
|
- During Examinations the Reference section will be kept open between 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. |
